Problem with luggage If possible, use your hotel luggage room because the Termini station luggage storage is heavily overloaded and crowded and takes time
Don't get ripped off Make sure you choose an official taxi, they will have radio access to their office and will also have a list of charges which is put in a prominent place, don't use a taxi driver who approaches you and seems very helpful, most drivers will sit in their cabs and wait for you to approach them.
Pick Pockets Just a quick tip on friendly locals who try to distract you by tying a piece of string around your finger, they are gyspy pick-pockets. They use the string trick to distract you whilst they lift your wallet, one tried it on with me at the Spainish Steps, I realised what was going on and quickly got rid of him, but he was not too happy about it. Just be warned

A little bit far from the subway train stations with a walk of at least 20 minutes to the station.. however it was quick to get anywhere once we were on the train..
