Fantastic desk staff (very helpful)

The desk staff and accommodation in this hotel is 1st class. I would also say its location to those wanting to visit the Vatican have got the ideal base to plot their trip from here, the downside has to be the scrambled egg which I found to be uneatable. That apart, the rolls, cereal, bacon, toast on offer more than made up for this. Then they have the courtesy bus to take you to the city centre or the Vatican, which makes this base special, and value for money. A big thanks from me and my partner.

We arrived at the hotel, tired after a delayed flight, at about midnight, only to discover that they had double booked us. We were moved to a different hotel after a wait of about 45 mins. The new hotel was of a lower standard. We complained and were moved to another hotel of a similarly low standard. Ruined our holiday.

We booked this hotel in January for a birthday weekend for 3 couples. We received confirmation in February yet on arrival we were informed that there was a problem with the internet booking system and that they had no rooms. They told us they had 3 available rooms in another hotel on the other side of the city. This was so upsetting as I had spent days looking for a suitable hotel, we were furious. They arranged for a taxi to bring us to the other hotel which was by no means the same standard. It was so basic and too far out from city. What was meant to be a fun weekend turned out to be so disappointing and time wasting. Be warned!! Could not recommend the Tiberio, also receptionist most unhelpful.

A beautifully designed hotel away from the busy city of rome. However the city itself was easily accesible by foot or short journey by frequent bus service. The staff were courteous friendly and very helpful. breakfast was a good choice although we chose not to eat at the hotel as we felt it was a little pricey, they make a great cappucino though. we woul definately saty at this hotel again. The rooms great. We were disappointed roof terrace was not open.

I booked the hotel in January 2004 for the Easter weekend last year. The money was taken off my credit card in February 2004. Unfortunately, when my husband and I arrived at the hotel, travel weary, the receptionist told us the hotel was fully booked and they had reserved another hotel for us. I was very upset, as this weekend was a present for my husband. The hotel order a taxi which took us to another hotel. This hotel was located further out of the city and further away from the Vatican. The hotel was not as nice as the Tiberio so we got a taxi back to the Tiberio and demanded they give us a room. After all, the booking had been made and they had my money. Their attitude was not very apologetic, but, after some delay, they offered us a choice of rooms. The hotel was very pleasant but unfortunately the experience left a scar.

Modern upmarket

Everything about the hotel was exactly what we wanted for our 4 day break to Rome. When you walk into the foyer for the first time, you do get a little of that wow factor. The rooms were comfortable and modern and the service was excellent. Excellent buffet style breakfast and plenty of it. Food was good if a little pricey but we also found 2 great restaurants close by. It is situated in a quieter part of Rome 20 minutes walk from St Peters but quite a way from the other main tourist areas which may not suit everyone. Would definitely recommend it and return there on our next visit to Rome.
