Good and great stay

Good enough fot school

We stayed at this hotel during a school trip. The rooms were not really clean, especially the ground wasn't. The beds were pretty clean. My bed was not great and you had to put the shower on 10 minutes before you got under it otherwise the water was cold. Sometimes you didn't even get warm water. The location is pretty good, there are two supermarkets near and termini is only a few minutes walking. The hotel is good for a school trip but otherwise i wouldn't go there.
Bad hotel

The only positive thing about the hotel is the location. Further, this hotel is far from good. There are strict rules and the guy who's doing his duty at night is very childish. I went to this hotel with students of my school, so I also write this review in their names.
If I could choose I would give this hotel an half a star, because of the following things:
- They stole my Gilette razorblade who was in my dressing bag and I never used it during may stay in that hotel. But I am not the only one, also another student's razorblade was stolenm also from Gilette.
- The bathroom is also terrible. It's very small and the shower gives sometimes very cold water and sometimes very hot water. It's very hard to find the good temperature.
- You need to be quite at 10 pm but the children of the owners of the hotel are yelling en screaming after this time.
- By breakfast there is nothing to choose. You get two slices of breath and no more.
- You are also not allowed to drink alcohol in the room!
During my stay I haven't feel very comfortable. I recommend, search another hotel, because in this area there are much hotels.

Nightmare

They had 3 dogs, and they peed in our room and the staff did not clean it. They hardly spoke English and they were very very rude to us. The bathroom was way too small and the beds were horrible. They served food for breakfast with a best before date of July 2007- it was September 2007.

The Giugiù is excellently located, within walking distance of many of the well-known sights. Only 5 mins. from Termini station. The family that run it and their staff are all very friendly and helpful and English speaking. Excellent recommendations were given for restaurants,sight-seeing etc. Hotel very very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again next time !
Nothing but good memories

I went to Rome with school and I had such a great time in hotel Giugiu. We were there with a group of thirty people and we didn't spent a lot of time in the hotel, but the time we spent there was allways great. The whole group came together in the lobby after we went out and there we talked about how we spent our evenings. Eventhough the shower wasn't that big, it was still a lovely place to stay. You should definitely go there!!

We usually love the atmosphere and character of 1 and 2 star hotels. However, this hotel was dirty and the family who ran the hotel was not very friendly. The bathroom was full of mildew and bugs, the room smelled awful, and I had to pick several bugs off the bed each night before going to sleep. This hotel was a nightmare.

Last year I went to hotel Giugiu for one week. It was a school trip so all our students stayed in the hotel. The hotel isn't very luxury so don't expect to much from it, but it is enough for students. The hotel is situated in the centre of Rome so that is a huge benefit. You can easily walk to all cultural highlights of the city and the metropolian is around the corner. All in all the hotel has everything to offer fot a great time! Enjoy your stay at hotel GiuGiu!

The location was fine, where I wanted to be, and I was able to walk everywhere, this includes the Vatican. Metro buses and subways aren't hard, I just wanted to walk.
I found the italian breakfast good, nice size breakfast room.
