We booked last minute and the Hotel Firenze was among the few hotels that were avaiable for that weekend. It cost 150 euros per night which I think was a bit over the odds. It's location is good as it's a stones throw from the Spanish Steps and also an easy walk down to the Pantheon area. But it was very noisey at night as it is on one of the main squares. The room was clean and big - but nothing attractive - while the bathroom was by far the best feature - clean, modern and with a nice shower.
The staff were really unfriendly - and our breakfast was limited. But we hadn't come here to spend time at the hotel so we got over it.
I wouldn't stay there again, but if you just want somewhere to lay down after day sightseeing and a night of eating and drinking Roman style, then it will suffice. Not for those looking for a romantic venue or anything cosy...
