Excellent hotel
Read some of the other reviews and can't recognise this hotel from them. Staff and service were excellent in all respects. Rooms - now they would be very hard to beat. My only small point would be the pool is somewhat cool for my liking. Would go back tomorrow.

Great Room, Terrible Service...
Gorgeous room in an excellent setting....
However (and I believe you will see a theme if you carefully review other reviews), the service was terrible.
Where to begin?
First, we paid >$400 a night. We checked in @ 3 PM, took showers, and went out to see the town. Wet towels all over the place when we returned: Manager: Lack of turndown service--FOR >$400 A NIGHT--"An Oversight". That night we received an important message from a fellow traveler in Rome--totally incomprehensible. Manager: Agreed that only an English speaker should have taken the message. On arrival, we were asked about a tour through the Vatican Museums--we were told we "wouldn't have to wait if we went on a tour they recommended". THIS IS A SCAM!!! We waited 2 hours like everyone else... and didn't even seen the highlights of the museum! Don't think FOR A SECOND that this "luxury" hotel is above scamming its visitors...
