Place was clean but staff were minimalist in their help to us as newcomers to Rome. Very handy for Termini bus and rail stn.
Breakfast was very poor - awful, cheap coffee and yukkie bread rolls along with croissants smeared with an icing topping. Cereal could be chosen - as long as you don't mind sterilised milk.
Hotel is part of a larger building that houses lots of other businesses, hence the unassuming communal entrance. The view from our room was awful....not what you would expect for £100 per night for 2. I didn't complain though as we were out from 8.30am till well after 10.30pm each day.
At least it is walking distance to the main attractions-the furthest is the Sistene Chapel/Vatican Museum @ 1,955 steps on the pedometer. Also handy for the excellent pizza place, Cucina Nationale on via Nationale just down from Piazza Repubblica but avoid the exhorbitantly priced cafes on the nearby (and over-rated) via Veneto.

Top Local Tips for Rome
Castello Romani It is worth visiting this outlet just 15 km outside Rome for shopping. One can find excellent opportunities. The best way to go is to go by Metro to St. Laurentine and then take a taxi. In this way you will avoid the traffic and pay less for the taxi
Get ready to do some walking Take your best pair of broken in walking shoes and expect to clock up some miles. If you are American, it isn't too difficult to study an italian phrase book on the flight over, is it?
Night life, Lunch, Touring, St peters We took an open top tour bus which takes you to most of the most popular sights instead of taking cabs, this way you can get most of it done in one day if you dont have much time. Piazza Navona is nice for lunch and relaxing for a couple of hours. Campo fe Fiori is good for bars. Also if you are English I recommend the free walking tour at St. Peters Basilica, they are only trying to get you to buy the next tour but you just dont go back! You get to queue jump at St. Peters and get to learn some interesting information!
