Food there was good. The breakfast buffet is big and you can pig out on a variety of food. Plus the restaurant there wasn't bad.
The pool is quite small, but it is nice to have it there (it isn't busy because people tend to spend more time in the city than the hotel).
The shuttle bus runs hourly to the local metro station, and it is very easy to get to the city (metro costs 1 Euro). Plus the shuttle bus runs to and from the city in the evening.
For a couple spending 5 days in Rome, it really was perfect. However, there are some things that people may find annoying:
- There is NOTHING in the local area at all. Apart from a supermarket that we found pretty handy.
- The hotel has no other amenities. There is a restaurant, bar and pool (roof terrace was a let-down). So if you're bringing kids that need to be entertained 24/7 it may be a bit difficult. I hope they try to add maybe a pool table/table tennis/ arcade etc in the future.
It is very close to Ciampino Airport. But if you're going to Fiumicino like I did then DON'T GET A TAXI!! Cost me 50 Euros which was a bit steep. You can get a train to Roma Termini and then Metro to Arco di Travertino which works out A LOT cheaper. I did this for the return journey and it was easy.
We had a great time in Rome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel. We got a great deal and it was a bargain for the money we paid.

audio tours i really liked the audio tour group that was offered at the colesseum. i'm not really one for tour groups in general and prefer to do things on my own with a guide book, but i was glad that we took this opportunity bc otherwise you miss the whole story behind it. its prob the only tour that stood out in all three cities. definitely skip the green line tours because its much cheaper and easier to take the subway. if you go on the last sunday of the month for the free entry into the sistine chapel and vatican city, you better get your tooshy there 2 hours before the entrance opens. most people had a 3 hour wait and a lot didn't even get to go in because they close it down without telling you where the cutoff point is in the line.
FCO airport The attitude of airport staffs were also terrible. They lost my suitcase, and they said " Find yourself your suitcase at the lost&found desk" very angrily. Also when I return to my country, I could not get my flight ticket smoothly because the staff was lazy and amature.
Rip Off Dont use them

The main drawback is the location of the hotel, it is in the middle of a residential setting and the inital trip to the hotel on our arrival to Rome proved very tiring and exhausting. However once the journey to the main city was mastered this became managable and achievable every day.
Just a few remarks to help make yr journey easier .... do not take a taxi from the airport as this proved to be very expensive (someone was charged 90 euros for one way!!!).
Instead consider buying a Roma pass on your arrival at the airport for around 23 euros, this allows unlimited travel on the metro and buses for 3 days and also freenentrance to 2 main attrations.
To get to the hotel... take a train from the airport to Termi station (additional 12 euros), then take the metro to Colli Albani, get off at this station and get the 664 bus to Cappenelle, ask the driver for Appi Claudio, from there its a few minutes walk....... Happy hols!!!
