| Checked in May 22/05. We had a group of 14 members staying in this hotel for 3 nights. Front desk staff was friendly. Concierge staff was most helpful in providing info/map. The location of the hotel is close to Vatican, peaceful nice setting and surround with tree far away from the noisey and smelly downtown but close enough to attractions. Taxi rides cost 9 euro to S. Maria in Trastevere, 13 euro to Spanish Step but Bus stop in front of the hotel. The room were big, clean and tidy. Beds so comfortable, bathroom so equip and spacious; nice balcony with chairs to sit outside enjoy the fresh air that downtown city don't offer. Don't eat in the hotel restaurant but bar-lounge were nice. In front of the hotel entrance to the left just 1 minute walk nice restaurant offer pasta or chicken for 7-8.50 euro. Walk 10 minutes to the right (very tiny side walk), you will find pizzeria, thin crust pizza for 6.50 - 8.00 euro, deli shop offer best prosciutto and local deer just for 1 euro, Chinese restaurant etc. The compliment "Red" shuttles bus to the Fiumicino Airports was park @ the left side of the lobby entrance. Shuttles bus schedule run 7:10am, 10:00am and 1:30pm, the ride only need 45 minutes. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay here again. |
