Friendly and clean

from A TripAdvisor Member
We spent a very pleasant two nights in a very pleasant hotel where the staff were extremely helpful and co-operative. We had a family room. Would definitely stay here again. We were permitted to leave our bags there on the day of departure which was extremely beneficial as our flight was not until later in the evening. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Very SPECIAL holiday

from A TripAdvisor Member
We went on the recommendation of a friend. The accommodation is good value for money and is a good base for a stay where one does not intend to spend much time in the accommodation. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was good offering fresh cornetti, bread, fruit, jams and the like, cream cheese. The coffee and hot chocolate were good and the service was speedy and pleasant. We had a good time in Rome and the hotel for the price made a very good base. I will definitely stay here again!

Excellent stay for a beautiful holliday in Rome

We all, a group of four families with in total 16 persons have enjoyed the very familiar atmosphere in this nice Hotel in the middle of the city of Rome, where you can nearly get to every interesting site by foot.
We all are sure to come back again. One family already did.

ll be back !

I recently stayed at the Hotel Concordia with my boy-friend and enjoyed the experience. We stayed 4 days at this impressive, clean. family run hotel. We were made to feel at home from the moment we checked-in. The men on the front desk speak English fluently and are always there for any tips and good advice for the traveller. The rooms proved to be clean and decorated in good taste with bright colors. We were given a key for the safety box at no extra charge. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The location, you can't beat. Its a 3 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, even so they are quiet because the street at night is not so busy with traffic. I hope to come back in the spring so I can have breakfast on the roof-top terrace, which they told me closes for the winter. This place is a good choice for location, price and customer care.

Money well spent

I am a travel agent from London. After reading all the reviews on Trip Advisor concerning the Hotel Concordia,I saw with my own eyes the good standard of this hotel.I spent 5 days here with my wife.I cannot believe that this hotel is not on any hotel guides(yet). However I think that this makes the hotel more special, and not like other hotels, who tend to work with mass tourists and large groups.I have the impression that the clintele is of good selection, even though they offer low prices.I found our room comfortable, well equipped with amenities such as hair dryer,mini-bar,safety deposit boxes, and even one night that rained cats and dogs we watched the BBC news. The owner, offered us a an old age bottle of Montalcino from his personal collection. We paid 150 euro per night, and it was money well spent.I shall recommend this hotel to friends and anyone of my clients in London.

Fabulous stay in Rome

I just returned from Rome - bus./personal in Nov. I stayed at Hotel Concordia - excellent location. The rooms are small, but very clean. The staff is extremely accomodating and friendly. Highly recommended and would stay again!

Really lovely

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. The rooms are well-furnished and clean. The staff was always helpful and kind, they offered restaurant advice which proved to be of good value considering the location, near the Spanish Steps. The location is perfect, safe and within walking distance of all the sights. They gave us a key to a safety deposit box,in our room,at no extra charge. They also organised for a shuttle to the airport at a low cost. All in all we were very happy with the Hotel Concordia.

A good bargain

from A TripAdvisor Member
This is the 4th time that we go in Rome and we always stay in the Concordia, because is a great hotel, good average quality and near the Spanish steps (2 min). All the staff are warm and welcoming and speak currently English. The rooms are simple, but really clean, comfortable and relatively quiet considering its very centrally located. Breakfast is fine, with fresh foods and good choice everyday.

I felt at home

We were a family group and and spent 4 great days in Rome, also thanks to the Hotel Concordia. We paid 150 euro for each double room. The money was well spent. The hotel is in a strategic location. All the sights, restaurants, shops and boutiques, are easily reached by foot.If you venture out,the subway station is a 5 minute walk or the bus stop is a 3 minute walk. The great thing is that its not noisey at all, considering its in a central location. The rooms were peaceful, bright and very clean. The staff were a plus, friendly and available for any questions. The front desk arranged a 35 euro transfer to the airport with a mercedes car.I was made to feel at ease.Hope to be back in the future

Clean, calm and connected!!!

We found the Concordia by chance walking around and what a discovery. It is located in a charming palazzo, just around the corner from the Spanish Steps. Our room was peaceful, comfortable and spotless. The staff spoke English fluently. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. This place rates high on my list.

Top Local Tips for Rome

Ciampino Duty Free The duty free shop at Ciampino has the cheapest prices on single malt that I've seen anywhere (Glasgow, London, Toronto). A 1 liter bottle of Highland Park 12 yr sells for 34 euros. That's less than the price of a 70cl bottle at our local Tesco. There are about 15-20 different malts only but who needs any other kind?

read menu carefully in restaurants in rome they can charge for seating people e.g. €1 per person, bread e.g. a basket of bread between 2 €3.50 even if you dont ask for it and a service charge of 15% on top of the price of the food. Be very carefull a meal could look a bargain but end up double or more than what you thought. For example 4 people for dinner €1 euro each to be seated thats €4, 2 baskets of bread €3.50 each thats €7. You get charged for all water that could be another €6 then your meal on top of that, veg is charged seperately too, then your 15% service charge.

White knuckles If you need to take a cab anywhere make sure you put put your seat belt on say a prayer and enjoy the ride!!!
