Top Local Tips for Rome
Colliseum Would recommend going with one of companies that do tours (Pegasus) as they often get you ahead of the queue and you can enjoy also a tour of the palace of augustine and constantine - wee bit more pricey - extra 10 euros per head but do get straight in - especially when time is an issue.
Things to see and do If you want to see any of the major attractions it is advisable to get the hotel to book in advance eg Sistine Chapel, Pompeii, Vatican Museums, etc. It is a fabulous CIity and a week is not long enough to see all the attractions.
St Peters Basilica & the Colloseum Make sure you queue up and visit the dome for the best views of Rome. ALso, buy your ticket for the colloseum at the palatine hill ticket desk. It will save you a 45 minutes queue!
