| A wonderful experience! |
| I stayed at the Cavalieri Hilton with three girlfriends for four nights Oct-Nov. It was a fabulous stay!
We had two connecting double rooms, with Rome-view. Paying the extra cost for the view is really worth it if you want to enjoy the view over the Vatican City instead of the view of a giant TV antenna.
We also had booked the executive level, which meant we had access to the club room. That was simply great! This was an all-inclusive room, with a buffet changed five times a day. Great breakfast, lovely afternoon tea with sandwiches and cakes, little pies in the evening and snacks and drinks at night. Since a coke cost 8 Euro (yes, it's true. Ridiculous, but true) it felt good to relax in the club room with free drinks...
The executive level also gave us access to the Spa, which was lovely. Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna...
The hotel is about 15 minutes outside the city with car, up on a hill. That meant that the view was spectacular, but that walking down town was out of the question. The hotel, however, provided a free shuttle bus every hour until 8 pm. A cab was 10-20 Euros.
All in all, I would really recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't care about the costs... or anyone who's been saving to make a special trip! |
