Beware of this hotel

We stayed at this hotel in the middle of May. There was no in-room safe so I asked the front desk personel about that. I was told that I could check items for safekeeping with them and they would put them in the hotel safe. When I retrieved my possessions, I was missing a gold chain with a cartouche pendant. This item was purchased in Egypt a few weeks earlier for the equivalent of $636.00 Canadian dollars. The staff was not at all helpful and actually rather insulting about the occurance. There were five people who had access to the hotel safe and by the way he responded, I suspect that the hotel manager was involved. The Italian police were called and did talk to the hotel personel but to no avail. I would strongly recommend that people avoid this hotel.
Other than that, the hotel advertised a breakfast and we found it to be the worst one we had in three months of travelling in Europe and Egypt.
We had also booked a tour of the Vatican through the hotel and would not recommend that either. This tour came highly recommended by the hotel but we felt that it was not good value for the cost.
