We were slightly nervous, after reading reviews prior to the trip, but these soon faded after day one of our 4 day trip. The hotel was immaculate and the staff very friendly. The hotel is on the outskirts of Rome but the bus and Metro service is so frequent it was not a problem getting in to see the sights. We spent time talking to the staff and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money.

My wife and I went to Rome for her birthday, this hotel was 1hr from coliseum and 1 1/2hrs from the Vatican. We found Hotel Reception very unfriendly, some staff rude, not very informative. The room was clean but very old, dark and basic. Staying at this hotel ruined our trip to Rome. It is in a very poor area and miles from nowhere. Nothing to do at night, no nearby bars or restaurants too far to go into Rome Centre again in the evenings.

My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic time in Rome, visiting some absolutely breathtaking plces of interest. The Vatican, St Peters Square, Trevi Fountain and the Colleseum were simply marvellous and we both learned a great deal about this beautiful historical city We stayed at the Hotel Aurora Gardens and upon our arrival, we were greeted in a polite and helpful way. The Hotel was very clean, the concierge was helpful and spoke excellent English. The rrom itself was basic but comfotable and breakfast was great, lots of choice, and very informal. The only downside was that it was a trek getting ito Rome itself, but I do have some helpful tips for future travellers staying at this hotel. To get into Rome itself, catch the 343 or 344 bus (bus stop only 3 minutes walk from Hotel) to Ribbebia Underground Station. Purchase a 3 day pass for only 11 euros each. If you are visiting the Colesseum go on Line B and take the underground to the Collesseo stop. However if you are visiting the Vatican or Trevi Fountain, take the underground from Barberrini to termini and change onto the Line A to chosen destination. Other recommendation. My husband and I asked the Conceirge he could recommended a restaurant nearby. He made a reservation there and then for us to dine at the Relax Restaurant only 5 minutes walk from the Hotel. Simply fanatastic, all homemade Italian dishes in simply wonderful surroundings and the kind waitress who looked after us went out of her way to learn English. The meal itself was superb and the price was well worth it. I hope you enjoy your stay in Rome as much as we did.

This hotel was a nightmare to find. No-one knew where it was...and we asked everyone! (you need to get to Rebibbia, then take the 242 bus (think thats the number)) When we arrived and made a comment about finding it, the guy at the desk was very rude, and was rude again when we tried speking Italian. We didnt really venture into the hotel much, the bar was quiet. Breakfast was satisfctory.

The hotel itself overall was very nice. It was clean tidy and was being decorated while we were there. Only had breakfast in the resturant but this was very nice. The staff were very freindly and helpful. The only downfall of the place is it's location its a long way to the city centre but we enjoyed or stay very much.
