All that glistens...
Don't be fooled by the elegant marbled entrance hall, this is definitely not the Ritz. For a central Rome hotel it is probably better than most but it is not 4* - it is a basic tourist hotel. Offering B&B the rooms are adequate and clean. The rooms are cleaned and tooth mugs, soaps etc replaced daily. The towels are changed daily, although they are rather thin and hard. There are no shower curtains which makes for damp floors and sometimes damp clothes!. Rooms on the front can be noisy as the station is very close. The breakfast room is large but, with 150 rooms, it can be a scrum if you get your timing wrong. The food is adequate, if not very inviting. Overall, a centrally placed hotel which is basic and provides a clean bed and some food if you are out and about seeing the tourist sights. Not a hotel in which to spend any leisure time.

Very Good
Extremely central and handy 100 metres from Termini. Very clean. Breakfast is fine or as fine as a cold buffet can be but has all the traditional elements. If windows open can be a little noisy from street but that is because it is so central. Staff fine - nothing special. Very good hotel.

Nice area
Close to Termini station for main trains and underground. A slow amble to the centre of Rome takes about 20 minutes. Rooms small but well decorated. Breakfast only supplied in the hotel but there are a lot of restaurants within 100 yards. Plenty of small bars within easy walking distance, the nearest being 50 yards (very friendly).

Small but perfectly formed
I put cleanliness at the top of my list of requirements and this hotel didn't let me down. Bathroom was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. If I was to quibble I would say towels were a little aged and I wonder why no shower curtain!
Bedroom was perfectly adequately furnished though quite a small room. Air conditioning unit worked well and even at the end of September we definitely needed it.
The breakfast room was light and airy and the breakfast much as you might expect - plentiful supplies of cooked meats, cheeses, bread, jams, yoghurt, fruit, cereal - tea and coffee - all self service. The buffet table was replenished frequently during the course of breakfast. Never a feeling of arriving too late and no food left.
Hotel was perfectly situated within one minute walk of the rail station/coach stop. Excellent double glazing so no problems with noise.
I would definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money. It's 4 star rating though would not equate ...Read more

Nice breakfast
Breakfast was very good. We liked the fruits and the coffee machine worked well -- especially for cappucino. Location was great, although the teens hanging around Termini Station were scary--tried to steal our companion's wallet. Safe in the room was handy. TV selection was very limited unless you understand Italian. Room was quiet. Front desk was helpful. Bathroom should come with instructions for Americans--we were told not to flush toilet paper, but our friend was told she could flush the toilet paper. Room was small but clean enough. Elevator was teeny, but maybe that's how Italian elevators are -- just enough room for 2 skinny people and 1 piece of luggage each.
