I recommend this hotel as a perfect base to plan your holiday from. The staff are courteous and helpful, the rooms clean and airy and it is very close to a metro station. We ate at the hotel restaurant on the first night and it was very good. The breakfasts are vast and will fill you up nicely! Not very central but that's the only fault I can find - give it a go.

This hotel doesnt ring true,to the details and pictures listed on their website.
The hotel is NOT a 4 star as stated-its just managing on a 2 star!!.
The room was the size of a dog house, with just enough room for the bed,the hairdryer in the bathroom was broken(and thats just a basic essential),the shutters on the outside of the bedroom window did not open-so we had no sunlight, and the shutter on the balcony door was jammed, and would only open half way.
The mini bar is very mini-'minimallistic',as it only contained 4 items.....thank god there is a supermarket just 500 metres away.
The Hotel Restaurant was closed for our entire stay, which meant we had to travel in order to eat.
The Breakfast was a joke-its ok if you are thirsty,as you can get hot drinks as well as orange juice-but if you want food, then you will have a choice of jam pastries, fruit, yoghurt and croissant and cold ham.
The lifts-boy did they smell!!,a dire odour was eminating amongst all floors of the lifts.
The Hotel though is situated adjacent to a Metro system, which has easy access to central Rome.
However,Rome itself was nice, and an impressive 15 degrees, which, for the beginning of February,is good.
Please check ALL details for this hotel, before any possible bookings.

And it took about 27 euro to reach the hotel. The staff was friendly and the hotel seemed nice. The rooms are kinda small but I guess its fine. The metro station was just across the hotel and the Vatican City station and the Coliseum is not too far away...
Also the trains run late in the night so you can come back late. They serve breakfast in the morning which is pretty good. They have a restaurant inside which is open late too. Also there is a pizzeria near by where I went and bought food at about 1 AM.
I would recommend the hotel...And yeah Rome is totally WORTH it.

We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of july, restaurant downstairs is V limited for vegetarians like myself but the breakfasts in the morning were good. The staff were v helpful and the rooms were cleaned everyday. Metro station is just across the road which was good as the area the hotel was in was pretty quiet. The room itself was a bit small but I'd stay here again as it was pretty cheap and handy for the metro.

The food was good - when you gort it. Friday 26th May main course and cup of tea took 2½ hours in total, and at 27euros was not cheap.
Breakfast was good (the bits that had not run out that is - 08:30)
Sat 27 May 18:30 - Restaraunt closed ~ no barman on duty (Receptionist stated he may have gone to the toilet; ½ hour later still no bar man) - so NO HOT DRINKS AVAILABLE. Glad the Metro station was close, so I could get a coffee from the machine there!!!
The bed was very hard, and the water not very hot.
Did i complain? Would have done if the manager had ever been available.
Not a hotel to which I will ever return!!!

If you stay here you will need to:
Not worry about price: its good, nay great value.
Not worry about lunch: the breakfast is as much as you can eat for free. Great! Skip lunch.
Not worry about getting into town: its a 3 minute walk from the Metro and easy to find first time around.
Not worry about language if you are English.
Not worry about using the hotel room phone: cheap rates.
Not worry about the traffic noise if you are at the back of the hotel. If you are at the front, the windows shut it out easily. If its hot, just accept the city street as part of the Rome experience. If you can't sleep you haven't done enough walking during the day!
Not worry about Airport transfer: we arrived from airport at midnight on a Saturday.
Worry about getting back to hotel midweek via metro. Check the last train and bus. We didn't and had to fork out 30 euros for a taxi home.
Not worry about getting to the coast: Lauerntina station is close to Piramide stn which will have you on the coast in 1/2 hour.
Not worry about getting clean: ensuite bathroom was great and had lots of hot water.
Not worry about cheap food. Use the supermarket 50 metres away if you are on a budget.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have just come back from Rome and stayed at this hotel. The food in the restaurant is brilliant, good price and there is a substantial breakfast waiting for you in the morning. It is close to the subway and is extremely easy to hop on and go to the city centre in Rome itself. The subway is also extremely cheap. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The only downside is that the hotel is very noisy if you are situated at the front, and I was, right over the front door which had sliding doorways and right next to the lift!! Make shift ear plugs are the only way to get some sleep if you find yourself in this situation. The heater tended to blow cold air and there wasnt enough bedding on the bed so I had to throw my coat over it for extra warmth as its pretty cold in March. That said, it is a really nice play to stay despite being in dire need of updating. Would recommend if you are on a budget.
