Spent 7 gloroius days in this fab location. The staff were friendly and went to a great deal of trouble to cater for my gluten free diet (I am a Coeliac). Gianni especially will be missed. A wonderful family owned hotel. Thanks also to Parrys International Coach Tours for choosing such a smashing location and making the trip so pleasant. Everything you could want is in Riva, from shops to mountain trails!

A great hotel with excellent views of Lake Garda. The hotel has efficient staff throughout especially in the restaurant, where Antonio and Gianni greet you with a pleasent smile and a very charming manner, they also make you laugh a lot with Antonio the joker of the pack and we will miss them all!

The staff really go out of their way to make you feel like a truly welcomed guest.

There is a wide selection on the menu and the food is well prepared and tasty and can be eaten with a wide selection of local and foreign wines.

You can also have a drink in the bar and have an Italian ice cream whilst still staying in the hotel itself.

The room was clean and cumfortable and sufficient for its use with satellite TV, a free safe (10 euro deposit that is returnable, a shower and bath and also a hairdryer, sadly the air conditioner was not switched on but you would need it in the summer.

However... the only fault we found was the lack of constant hot water which seemed to have a mind of its own as to when it was hot or cold, so after a long day out on a walking trip, you could never rely on there being any hot water at all to sooth those worn out muscles!

The hotel is a good base to explore the north of Lake Garda with easy access to local buses and ferries.

Top Local Tips for Riva del Garda

Riva old town Make sure your hotel is in Riva old town. The main modern hotel area is out towards Arco, at least 2km from the centre and the ferry dock.

Relaxing Holiday? Go in Mid May the weather is kinder but not too hot. Summer would be a bit on the hot side with plenty of visitors.

Good resturants Go for Bed and Breakfast package, loads of good resurants within 5 minutes walk.
