Great hotel and lovely staff

The hotel is a lovely building and right near the lakes. The pools are good and the spa is also very plush but underused. I would have liked the sauna to be hot all day and not just from 4.30pm onwards. The food is 3* but there are great restaurants in town. The staff are very efficient and also great fun (and very handsome as well!) I went with my sister and we both had a fantastic time. Will definately go again!

On the whole the Hotel was good with great food, friendly helpful staff and luxurious dining room. Our only quibble is that the bedroom was a tiny attic room more suited to a student than a four star hotel. The area was perfect and the holiday enjoyable but the room well below standard. Spoke to other guests who all felt the same.

Top Local Tips for Riva del Garda

Chiesa Santa Barbara It's a small Grotto, floodlit at night on the mountain, overlooking the town. There is a steep path up to it which is well worth the effort. It takes the best part of two hours up & 90 minutes to get down but has fantastic views of the town & countryside. Tthe surface for the most part is rock & shale & you need to be careful.

Weather!! We travelled to Riva Del Garda at the end of May and we had rain and thunder storms. So pack a light raincoat and a brolly and hopefully you wont need it.

Organised trips Anyone staying here as part of a trip organised by The Travel Department should definitley do the optional day trip into the Dolomites.
