Top Local Tips for Rimini

Train and bus service Due to the unforseen disappointing weather we went to Florence one day, catching the eurostar via Bologna. You need to get the train from Rimini town centre. We also caught a bus to San Marino - this was another fun day! The bus departs from opposite the train station and tickets can be bought on the bus. Make sure that you take a phrase book with you - this was invaluable.

Taking the local bus Buy your ticket before you get on the bus. Some drivers will not sell you a ticket. Look for stores that have a bus symbol on the outside. Tickets are 1 euro for 1.5 hrs. When you get on the bus, look for a validation box to punch your ticket. It seems the bus is used on an honor system. We saw people who had tickets and those who didn't. The bus driver did not keep track of who had tickets and who didn't.
