Top Local Tips for Rende

Rende/Cosenza not convenient for train travelers passing through Cosenza/Rende is not a major tourist spot, and a bit out of the way for someone passing through by train. From the Autostrada, it's probably fairly convenient, but don't expect a lot of action in this town. We were visiting friends in the area, but we actually discouraged a couple from Australia we met on the train from stopping here for the night since we knew that the train station is so far away from literally anything (hotels, restaurants, etc.) and getting in and out of town would be a hassle. You have to take a taxi or wait for a city bus to even get into town, plus it's 30 minutes inland off the main train line that runs up and down the eastern coast (although it offers many more options for accomodations than Paola, where you switch trains to come inland)
