Reggello an original part of Italy above the Arno vallley The territory of the municipality of Reggello is of great scenic and environmental interest: Mount Secchieta (1450 metres), the Vallombrosa Forest and the S.Antonio Forest are necessary visits for excursionists. Reggello is famous for its agricultural products. An international exhibition and market based on the local extra-virgin olive oil is held here each December. The called road of the seven bridges starts for Arezzo from here and is of great historical and artistic interest, apart from the beautiful scenery to be found en route. In the Reggello community territory and having even greater historic value is the almost 1000 year old Vallombrosa Monastery, founded by San Giovanni Gualberto de' Visdomini and Mother Basilica to the Vallombrosano Order.
