RAPALLO STAY IN A HOTEL WITH A VIEW OF THE WATER. WATCHING THE FERRIES, THE SWIMMERS AND THE PEOPLE. TAKE A DAY TRIP ON THE FERRY.

Eating out ... And things dto do Dining: Excellent Trattoria 'Vechhia Rapallo', just around the corner from the hotel .... excellent quality cusine & wine .... fantastic fish & patsa dishes include: swordfish in saffron sauce, tuna steak with balsamic vinega, pear ravioli (amazing), and excellent mixed grilled fish platter. Expect to pay 80 - 100 Euros for two. For a cheaper snack, try the Sole Bar ... right on the fron by the castle ... sit and look at the sea, drink a cocktail, enjoy extensive platter of 'nibbles' that come with your drink & watch the world go by (they also do excellent, filling good value salads and foccacia etc. Attractions: make sure you take the cable car and visit the Sanctuary at MonteAllegro ... an amazing view over the mountains, the bay and Rapallo ... walk past the Sanctuary to the Albergo and have a drink on the terrace with amazing views. Take the battelli to visit San Frutuoso, Portofino, Santa Margharita and the Cinque Terra. Walk round the headland to San Michele.

Trattoria Da Mario Behind the main promenade area, this restaurant only opens for a few hours in the evening but is nearly always full only 20mins after opening. Italians seem to love it and so did we.
