Top Local Tips for Rapallo

Great Find! It was very easy to go out at night to walk along the water's edge and listen to music, relax and people watch. We felt safe and comfortable walking everywhere and especially loved exploring downtown Rapallo, Santa Margherita Ligure and San Michele. The ferry service is excellent, the train station convenient and the proximity to the Cinque Terre was a real plus! If you want to hike the Cinque Terre hill towns, make sure you take the train to La Spezia or book a ferry that specifies this on the agenda. If you are into boating, this is the place! Rapallo made for a great home base when exploring the Italian Riviera. Enjoy!!!!

good meal Eat at the Gran Cafe Rapallo. FRom the menu turistico (18 euros) try the ravioli with sea sauce and the crawfish in cognac.

Eat in Hotel Get past prejudice about eating at a hotel - the food here is first rate. Only finest quality fish, vegetables, etc. - Claudio is fastidious about his selections. He has talented in-house chefs who make everything from scratch. This is one of the best kitchens in the area - don't overlook it.
