Top Local Tips for Praiano

Don't bring your car! Use the bus. You can get a bus from Naples Airport that goes to Amalfi and stops in Sorrento, Positano and Praiano. Once there you can get around by bus. We hired a car and although it was a nice drive we did not use it very much, once we discovered the bus, went everywhere by bus. Parking is tight!

The Bus service and Hotel location The italian bus service is notoriously late, be prepared to have some patience when waiting for a bus to get you around the Amalfi coast. We waited for nearly an hour past the scheduled time that the bus was meant to come, so frustrating.If you are going to stay on the amalfi coast make sure that you find a hotel that has a porter or luggage shuttle service to take all your luggage to your room. The last thing that you want to do is negotiate a huge amount of steps to transport your luggage to your room, it will detract from everything when its your holiday and you are meant to be relaxing.
