Great for the price!
The Santa Caterina is excellent value and we stayed there with our 15 month old son. The rooms are very basic and old-fashioned but clean, we had no cleanliness problems at all. The owner is a sweet guy, speaks only Italian, but we found him very helpful. Positano is fantastic, but very expensive, so we found this place really helped keep costs down. The terrace is shared, but is massive and there are deck chairs etc out and tables. We thought it was lovely and that it had character, and we would definitely go back!

Try anything else
Don't believe anything they say in their web page. The rooms are very dirty. The only door of the room opens to a shared terrace and there are not any other windows in the rooms. The owner sits over a bundle of cash money and does not want to use even any cleaning services. On the opposite side of the town this decayed building is easy to observe in the middle of other well kept buildings.

Don't stay here!
There are ants all over the place especially in the bedroom! The owner leaves at 8pm so there is no customer service or anyone to help us rectify the situation if there is a problem. The owner doesn't speak English. It's also a cash only hotel. We had to go across the street to Hotel Reginella to get a much nicer, cleaner and decent room and service for the same price.
