Top Local Tips for Positano

Talk to the locals -- They know It seems everyone in Italy speaks at least some English. Talk to them. They have great recommendations and can help with travel arrangements to make getting around much easier. Sometimes I am skeptical about overpaying for recommended taxis etc but in this case, the hotel arranged taxi home from Positano to Naples was easier and cheaper than the Taximeter rate. And much easier than the Metro/taxi we used coming in.

La Cambusa La Cambusa is the best restaurant in Positano

Getting there If you are traveling in from beginning spring to end of fall and are coming from Rome. Take the train from Rome to Salerno. Get off at salerno station and walk two short blocks to ferry landing and take ferry to Positano. It is an easy walk to the hotl from the ferry landing in Positano
