Quiet roads or not? April is great for driving the amalfi road in peace. But elsewhere, much is closed up and can feel remote at night.

Driving in southern Italy Go with the flow. Traffic is bumper to bumper; but if you just go with the locals, you'll not have a problem.

need a car My tip would be that if you are staying at Hotel Olimpico you would need a car to travel around in. Salerno is 15 mins away from the hotel and that is where the resturaunts and tourist attractions are located.
