I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a base to explore Pisa and the surrounding area. Minutes from both the bus and train stations it's incredibly handy for day trips and it's only a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of town. The room we stayed in was comfortable, sound proofed, air conditioned (though we didn't need it) and clean. The cleaning staff came in every day to make the bed and give us fresh towels no matter what time we left our room and breakfast ran until 10 meaning we could have a lie in if we wanted. The en suite had everything we needed - loo, bidet, sink, shower, hair dryer. It was clean, comfortable and friendly.
The double bed, essentially two singles locked together, was incredibly comfortable and I slept like a baby every night. There was plenty of space for luggage and even a wee safe in the room, free of charge.
If you want value for money then the La Torre is it, I'm not sure why it only gets 2 stars...

I had a very safe trip in Pisa and the surrounding area (beaches and Luca) because of the staff being so knowledgeable, considerate and friendly where I was traveling alone. They made me feel at home. The lady that serves breakfast made sure I was taken care of. The hotel is on the small side but the people make up for it. Thank you a million times to the lady behind the desk and my husband also thanks you for all the messages you gave him from me. You are a great. You are the most significant person in this hotel. This hotel is near the train, bus station in walking distance of the shops,leaning tower of Pisa and restaurants. Small, but again well worth staying with people that care.
