The hotel wasn't bad. It wasn't great either. I just didn't like the area the hotel is in. I just didn't feel safe, I felt like I was in the wrong section of town.

Absolutely excellent hotel in Pisa. Small, very clean, recently refurbished, brand new bathrooms. If you are lucky to get a room facing the main road, you'll get the full view of the leaning tower. There is no hotel in Pisa that is closer to the Leaning tower than the Ariston.

Top Local Tips for Pisa

October Rules Weather was just nice, dry and warm all week. Watch out for the gnats lurking in the grass of the Piazza...they're homicidal ! Don't be tempted to stretch out on the grass if you're fairskinned...there is a great pharmacy nearby who'll find your bites hilarious, but also supply a good cure ! Ask for a room at the front, overlooking the Tower.

ONE AND ONLY give this hotel a try you wont be dissapointed

Too hot in July Avoid Pisa and Tuscany, particularly Florence but most Tuscan cities in July - it's way too hot!
