The hotel wasn't bad. It wasn't great either. I just didn't like the area the hotel is in. I just didn't feel safe, I felt like I was in the wrong section of town.

Absolutely excellent hotel in Pisa. Small, very clean, recently refurbished, brand new bathrooms. If you are lucky to get a room facing the main road, you'll get the full view of the leaning tower. There is no hotel in Pisa that is closer to the Leaning tower than the Ariston.
