A 4 star hotel in 1976 not 2006

We stayed at the Park Hotel Toscanini in December 2006 and although very well situated close to the loveley town centre, the hotel was looking very tired. I think the 4 stars may have been given back in the 70's when the rooms were last refurbished. If any film makers wanting to shoot a retro 70's porn film then this is the place to go. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and are not too fussed about the quality of the accommodation then this hotel is fine. It is only a 3 minute walk from the old town and there are some good places to eat and drink just around the corner. This is more of a budget hotel not a 4 star hotel so make sure you don't pay too much for a room. When we came to settle the bill at the end of our stay the hotel staff seemed more than a little annoyed we didn't pay the whole bill in cash but wanted to use a credit card so be warned of some Italian hand waving if you intend to use your fleixble friend.
