This hotel is shockingly rundown, shabby and low-grade, and not as cheap as it should be. I cannot imagine how it has it's 4 star rating, I would have put it at maximum 2 (and most of that due to the fact that you can make toasted sandwiches for breakfast). Claims on websites that the rooms have air conditioning are lies: they have the controls on the wall but none of them work. Our party stayed in several different rooms and none of them had any functioning air-con. Also, it's only after you check in and are refused water for the room that they decide that "you have to pre-reserve with the booking". Despite the fact that I showed them the confirmation that listed the room-facilities, they smiled nodded and refused to do anything about it ("You can bring your own water in"!). On top of all of that, they will try and rip you off by pushing you into the nastiest room they have, and telling you there is no alternative, even if it is below that standard you have booked, and not even as they describe (they give you a key claiming it is for a double room, and in fact it's for a twin). If you are prepared to have a row with them, thus rather ruining any chance of a relaxing holiday for yourself, then miraculously a new room is offered, that although doesn't provide the services you booked (still no double, still no air-con, still no water), at least puts you in a room where the wallpaper isn't hanging onto the floor and the curtains look like they have actually been cleaned within the last 5 years. Unless you enjoy confrontation, book elsewhere.
