This hotel was a good fine. Located across the street from the Amadeus metro stop the rooms were attractive and clean. Price is negotiable (try cash for a better rate). Our room had the bathroom down the hall but it was ours exclusively so didn't matter. Breakfast included (coffee, croissant, biscuits, juice). Staff friendly although english can be a challenge. Bus to waterfront (to go to Capri or other destinations) nearby. Not too far from the waterfront - 10 min. walk. We would stay here again.

Top Local Tips for Naples

Artecard This can be bought fronm hotels and stations. We used the three day one for 25 Euros. It includes free transport throughout Campania and free entrance to two venues (We chose Pompei and the Archeological Museum). We used it to travel on trams, buses and trains. However transport in Naples is cheap and therefore crowded. It is not very well signed so you do need to take care.

Small hassles of life in Naples Taxis have no meters--they offer you a price when you get in and tell them where you want to go, and that is it (no discussion). The price seems to be the same, however, just about wherever and how far you go. Subway system does not go anywhere near most places you might want to visit, traffic is terrible, and most visitors wind up walking much further than they expect. Subway does run on time, but some stops are very deep underground and the escalators often are broken, so be prepared for long sets of steep stairs to enter or leave.

Stamps It seems to be near impossible to buy stamps. When passing near a post office drop in and buy some early on rather than leaving it to the last day and chasing around trying to find some.
