Absolutely terrible

At the time my school group and I were staying at this "hotel", floors four and six had no air conditioning. I was fortunate enough to be on floor five, however I was assigned to a cramped room with only one bed to share between two people. It took some time to communicate with the front desk (they didn't seem to see any problem with the arrangement) and they eventually removed the single bed and replaced it with two beds. This, however, would be the best part of the hotel. The bedboard in our room, which was attached to the wall was stained with something (a dark liquid), as were the walls. The bathroom was spaceous, roughly the size of the sleeping area. If this experience sounds troublesome, the people in our party who were assigned to rooms on the fourth and sixth floors had a worse time. Two group members, who had a big terrace on the sixth floor, actually pushed part of their beds on the terrace to have a nicer sleep. In short, the whole hotel needs to be renovated. Though the hotel was terrible, the town of Monticatini Terme is very nice. Most of our group explored the local area, which was full of culture, shops, and fine eateries, and spent most of their time away from the hotel. This hotel should not discourage you, the reader, from visiting Monticatini Terme.
