At the arrival at the hotel we were treated really well, rooms were clean and comfy, bathroom shabby and I did not like the hairdryer set up next to the sink! The food was boring and we were rushed to eat each course. my advice is if you are on a tour like us (archers) eat out! The young chap on reception was really helpful with our enquiries about getting about. The worst part was the day we left, we were given a breakfast bag because of our early start, the man a reception nearly threw them at us. no goodbye or anything. The hotel is in a good central part of Montecatini and near the parks, however do expect some noise until late from stalls and live entertainment at other hotels down the street. On the whole not bad, but the staff could have valued us a bit more.

Top Local Tips for Montecatini Terme

Take the funicular to Montecatini Alto Fantastic views and a very pleasant walk around the old town - allow a couple of hours for the walk, a drink and some sightseeing. You're allowed to stand at the front and back of the funicular and you get far more photo opportunities than in the seated compartments.

Montecattini Terme Public transportation is fantastic in Italy. We took a local bus for 3 Euros that dropped us off right infront of the Florence airport. Also there are 2 train stations in Montecattini Terme for day trips to other towns. Very convient, effecient and reasonably priced.
