My two teenage sons and I stayed 5 nights in this hotel. IT WAS PERFECT!

Our flight arrived VERY early in the morning, and we had no place to go but our hotel. I was a little hesitent as the taxi driver wound through more and more narrow, run-down looking one-way streets in the wee dark hours. He finally pulled up at the dark hotel. Even though we had to wake up the desk clerk ... he let us in, and gave us a room for a few hours until our rooms were ready. We were so grateful! The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful to me and the boys during our whole stay.

The boys shared a room on the top floor with a great view over the roof tops of neighboring houses, and I had my own room. The price was very reasonable. The rooms were spacious, clean, decorated nicely, with their own WCs and showers. Cable TV too. You can rent a safe at the desk that you can get stuff in and out of yourself. The elevator was small, but it worked.

The restaurant is undescribable. Just wonderful! The garden restaurant is fun, a quaint oasis in a busy city - with flowers and shrubs, a stream with turtles, and cages of birds. There is an inside part of the restaurant too. The room included Breakfast - a buffet of eggs, meats, cheeses, breads and pastries, fresh fruits and veggies, yogurt, cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices. The lunch and dinner menu is in Bulgarian and English, and includes really delicious and healthy National dishes (Shopska and other kinds of Salads, Meatballs, Kabobs, thin fried steaks of varying kinds, soups - including cold Tarator yogurt soup, breads, potatoes, soda, raika, wine, beer, etc.... much more than I can begin to remeber )

Even though the neighborhood looks kind of run down, I felt safe walking around. People were generally pleasant and friendly. The boys found some kids at a nearby park to teach baseball to. It is seconds away from some mini-markets, cafes, parks, public tranportation, and the main shopping street Vitosha. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down Vistosha to the center of the city. It was also easy to get a taxi.

I would go back and stay here again in a flash!
