Warning! Beware of the unprofessional behavior of the owner of this hotel. We reserved a room in person for the following day, left a credit card number and cell phone contact number. When we arrived the next day to check in, the owner said the occupant of our room was staying an extra day, so too bad for us, these things happen.
That's it, they never bothered to call, even though they knew the room was unavailable, or help us with plans to find another hotel. They were extremely rude, and seemed to think it wasn't that big a deal since we were only staying one night.
After finding a new hotel in Moneglia, the front desk personnel of that hotel told us they're constantly getting people who thought they had a reservation with Villa Edera, but were dumped for a longer staying guest. The owner of Villa Edera is an unprofessional, greedy discredit to her profession.

Top Local Tips for Moneglia

The fall is the best time Visiting the Cinqua Terra area isn't as hectic in the fall. The weather was perfect...in the 70's.

Beach tip Particularly in high season, access to the public beach would be very limited: most of the beach is either restricted to particular hotels or beach clubs, or paid. However, if you walk up the hill and back down towards the main road, there is a beach which appeared to offer far more public access.

Beware the queues! The train system is cheap and punctual but get to the train station well before departure time-ticket office can be chaotic with dozens of tourists trying to purchase their tickets
