Only 10 minutes on the subway into central square. Our stay at the Melia Milano was extremley enjoyable. Very elegant and luxurious. Good location, good food. Would not hesitate to return.

Top Local Tips for Milan

football match tickets Don't buy from a ticket tout, ensure you buy at an official ticket sales place as they take your passport and print your name on the ticket. The security at the stadium is strict and they do check very ticket and passport as you enter. The touts are pleasant enough and explain that you can take the ticket to the ticket office and have the name changed but I'd recommend not risking it.

Outlet shopping around Milan If you want to do some shopping go to one of the outlet malls (outside the city) - the one we went to (Foxtown) is huge and very stylish (just like a regular mall) with many designer brand shops all offering good to excellent bargains. Other chains shops are also there (eg Nike, Esprit) - you can literally spend hours there even if you only want to buy a few things. We went on a Sunday (right after opening) and it was very very busy - a weekday would probably be better.
