Top Local Tips for Milan

Driving in Milan Having a car in the centre of Milan was difficult. Our hotel had no parking, so we had to park on the street and buy a pile of expensive hourly parking tickets from an attendant who patrolled the street. We had to wait ages for him to find us a space. Also, we were told by our hotel and by the parking man that we would need an eco-pass (like congestion charge i think). Having scoured the city for a tabac to buy one from, and having spent 5 euros on it, we phoned the validation number and were told we didn't need one at all. Probably best to stick to the trams and metro next time!

Take the Cadorna express from Malpensa airport instead of Taxi The Cadorna train express will cost 10euro/trip/person and it delivers you in the heart of Milano. The taxi from Cadorna Station to Manin Hotel costs 7-8 euro.
