Here's a little background - my husband and I are Americans who have lived in Mercogliano for over 4 years. When we first arrived, we stayed at the Green Park Hotel for two weeks. Antonio, the manager, etc, was so wonderful. He took care of us so well - anything we needed, he helped us with. Since that time, we have become friends with he and his staff and family... wonderful people! and the restaurant is great, too! the menu changes with whatever is fresh that day... and they'll improvise, too, depending on what you're in the mood for. Most of the staff speaks english very well. The rooms, i'll admit, are not "plush" by american standards (i.e. overstuffed furniture, thick carpeting, etc) but they are more than comfortable... this is, after all, a 4-star hotel. I don't get any personal benefit for writing this - I'm just writing as a fan of the people and the place. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone - we put all our family and business colleagues here.
