Very dated, small room, overpriced and tacky. Very rude owner/staff. Definitely one to avoid

Top Local Tips for Menaggio

Take the boat It is well worth getting a 6 day ticket for unlimited travel between towns in the central lake area of Como (26 euro per person in July 2007)

Lugano If you can ,take the local bus to Lugano in Switzerland . Remember your passport.

Let the boat or bus take the strain! Don't even think of driving around Lake Como! Road(s) are narrow and crowded, often getting through a village is a real challenge. Boat/ ferries /hydrofoils are best and most scenic ways to get from A to B.Menaggio is well served and well connected to other parts of the lake with a reliable timetable. Buses go from the mains square to Lugano regularly. All fairly inexpensive.
