£50 for a lake view room but the lake could only be seen if you went out onto the balcony!
Place your dinner order the evening before!
Dinner only served within 1/2 hour slot!
Main courses served whilst still eating first course!
Proprietor only smiled once, as the coach was leaving to return us to the airport.
The staff didn't smile at all.

Top Local Tips for Malcesine

Lakesise Do walk along the lake edge into the centre of Malcesine. You get a great view of the castle, and there are bars and restaurants along the way.

La Pace Restaurant I was at a wedding at malcesine and the dinner was at 'la pace' restaurant. This was a lovely family run restaurant the food was the best I have ever tasted and the staff and owner were lovely people. We returned for a meal after the wedding before we went home and the staff were really happy to see us its rare to see people so grateful for their customers. The rose wine in the restaurant is also lovely

Traffic Malcesine is really beautiful, and worth a day to look around in, but be careful about the roads, they can be dangerous.
