Hotel Alpino is magnificant and all of the staff are friendly, waiters, owner, owner's wife and cleaner.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in September 2006.
Location: in the centre of old town, convenient for harbour and seafront walks, but rather noisy in the evenings due to passing pedestrians shopping and eating in the open-air restaurant attached to the hotel. Very noisy on Tuesday evenings due to an open-air pop concert held nearby until midnight!
Rooms: Small, but with comfortable beds and good storage space. No air-conditioning, but electric fans can be requested. When windows are shut the rooms are airless, when they are open they can be very noisy. Compact shower/washbasin/toilet space.
Food:
Buffet breakfast (7.30-9.30) Good selection of cold foods.
Evening meal (6.30-8.30) You choose from menu at breakfast-time each day. Quality and selection of food good. Service is slow, partly due to the demands of the attached public restaurant. Allow 90 minutes for evening meals.
