This hotel is central in location, it is well run,clean,has good food and the owners are a fantastic family. What more could you want?

Top Local Tips for Livigno

Location If you are taking skying lessons, check, before you book your hotel, see if it is located near the ski school. Ours was and this was really convenient - no bus or taxi required, although the bus service is free and good.

The co-op a must for your drinks ( remember tax free ) Eat on the slopes its still good value for money.

Duty Free Livigno is a prinicpality and is therefore duty free. There are numerous shops selling sunglasses, perfume and alcohol with D&G, Prada, Versace etc being sold at 'knock down' prices. They are genuine and not knock off and the prices are somewhat cheaper than the original (as most places tend to advertise the 'Italy' price and the 'Livigno' price) with a significant difference in some cases. The big difference that we noticed was the price of alcohol, with supermarket beer and grappa (there are some very nice ones, in particular Limincillo and the Blueberry) at next to nothing (large bottle of beer for around 50p, 1 litre bottle of decent grappa for about 3 quid). Take your car and stock up!
