Top Local Tips for Limone Sul Garda

Public conveniences... Avoid the public loos on the beach area - they are just holes in the floor (as are a lot of public loos in Italy) and they were very dirty (i.e. covered in faeces!) Yuk. The only major downside to an otherwise lovely, clean resort.

Taxi Get your hotel to arrange a taxi before leaving as getting one in the town is very difficult. We had to wait 40 minutes.

Boat trip to Mescaline and cable car up mount Baldo... Leave early. get the boat from Limone at 9am etc. get to Mescaline at 930 and into the queue for cable car asap. you can spend more time up there then and less time queuing.
