Nothing too much trouble, staff very kind. Thought air conditioning was expensive, but otherwise good time had at D'Annunzio.
A pleasant hotel.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Food I would describe as "basic" although there is plenty of choice if you like stuff that has been blasted in a microwave. The pool is fairly deep even in the shallow end and is not really ideal for young children. However the hotel is situated very well for the local beach (2 mins away). There are reserved deck chairs on the beach for the hotel although these DO NOT include lie-lows! There are only deck chairs available! Also drinks in the bar are on the costly side when compared with other bars in the area. Rooms are spotless and well presented. The owner "brenda" is very helpful and pointed us in the right direction for buses etc. A very pleasant hotel.
Great service fab staff

Having expected very little from this holiday, I was pleasantly suprised when we lucked out with this hotel. The staff were quite simply what made it the best bar along this strip (to be fair it was a very quiet time of the season) but they certainly made sure everyone was looked after and made to feel very welcome! It gets a thumbs up from me. Only downside, food not very italian, but just ask they're only happy to see what they can do for you!
Value for money

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and I can confirm that this family run hotel is very friendly and well run by the owners and staff. The breakfast is typically help yourself to cornflakes/toast/fruit juice etc which is included in the half board package, But for a small extra charge of 1.7 euro's you can have a full english breakfast which is not bad value if you ask me. The evening meal is three courses which consists of a choice of soup or pasta starter and then you can either have the chef's special or chose from a list of about 12 other main courses and you can also request a side salad or chips etc at no extra cost the sweet also consists of a choice of three items which I think is good for a three star hotel. As I have stayed in other hotels in the venetian region I do know from experience what you get served up by some hotels and I can this food is brilliant compaired to some I have had.
The staff keep the hotel clean and the bed linen is clean when you arrive and is changed weekly while you are there.

Don't agree with a thing Paul Watson says. Perhaps being from the younger age group they expected more. 2nd time we've stayed at D'Annunzio, friendliest staff and owners ever met. Yes, food basic but by no means awful. Beach lovely, hotel very clean and comfortable, our kids were spoit rotten by staff. Bar perfect to spend evening "people watching" in. So each to their own, we'd definately go back.
Don't eat the food

We were allocated this hotel by Top Flight as part of our package holiday and told us it would be three star..
Good points the Hotel is clean (although the bed linen wasn't changed during our stay. The towels are worn).
The hotel has its own section on the beach.
There are a good number of books to borrow left by previous guests.
Bad Points -
They charge for everything for example Air conditioning (40 euro) Television (11 Euro)
The food - We unfortunately were half board and the food was dreadful. Breakfast consisted of cheap cornflakes, dilute orange juice and really bad coffee, I'm sure if I had got arrested I would have eaten better in the local prison.
We had one evening meal and it Chicken with instant mash. All very reminisce of UK Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the 1970s.
