I came to Introdacqua because my father's family is from here. I stayed at La Trota for 3 nights. My room was amazing, large with a huge bathroom and balcony overlooking town. Carlo was very comforting, he made me feel like I was in my dad's kitchen. Can't wait to go back!!!

Away from the horns of the taxis and garbage trucks in the large cities, nestled in the mountains of Abruzzi, lies La Trota, where you will find Neopolitan hospitality. Carlo, Ciro and their families make certain that your needs are met brilliantly (including eggs over easy in the morning if requested). The hotel is clean and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are large. Views from the rooms are spectacular. You can choose 1/2 board or full board (meaning # of meals). The food is abundant and delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I always do!

Introdacqua is my father's place of birth and that is how I found my way there this past October. My sister and I had lunch at the La Trota and were the only guests there at the time. The server was charming and brought us an octopus when we inquired about it on the menu. The food was great and the service warm and friendly. Next visit I surely will return for a visit and a meal.

Carlo, Ciro and their families are wonderful people. My Dad was limited to what he could physically do, and the families offered rides and support as needed. We spent five days there mostly to rest, (there is not much to do in Intodacqua, but it is beautiful) but there is easy bus and train access. The beaches are only an hour or so away, and Sulmona is a very nice town, with shops run by friendly people (unlike some of the larger cities)and a great open air market two days of the week. The ffod is fabulous at La Trota, as Carlo will cook things for you from the menu and off the menu. Ciro cooks tasty pizzas in the evening. In short, this is a great place to rest between stops in the big cities. The rooms sre typical Italian rooms,m but the bathrooms are large, the view is great, the prices are VERY reasonable and the families are SUPER people (but do not speak much English). I heartily recommend that you give them your business.
