Good hotel value. Excellent staff, attentive and caring meals, very good with variety. Dining room staff very efficient. Excellent pool.

Top Local Tips for Garda

Don't let the number of over 50's put you off! If you like peace and quiet with nice scenery, a good choice of excursions, pleasant weather and nice people go to Garda. I spoke to many people who said there are too many older people who go on holiday there. That's true but maybe that's because they know how nice it is. It's not lively but it's lovely and very relaxing.

Discounted fares Ask your hotel about a "welcome card" which entitles you to discounted fares on the boats.

VERONA BY COACH / BUS If at La Perla you are close to Bus station all trips are picked up and dropped off here which is very good. But you can just get a ticket for the local bus / coach to Verona as we did, return Ticket is cheaper than the half day trip price by about ten euros. Bus station in Verona is 15 minute walk and there are stops nearer into the centre. you can have the whole day in Verona great lunch shopping and chill out at a local cafe return to the bus station or bus stop in the evening we got one returning at 18:00 back in Garda 19:10 back in the Hotel 09:15 shower chaged and evening meal. We had got on the bus one morning at 08:30 and another day at 09:30 so its a regular service and a good trip with good veiws try it
