Hotel Alla Torre - Fantasic value for money

My Fiance and I stayed in Hotel Alla Torre in Garda in early July 2007 and opted for half board. The Hotel was situated less than 50 metres away from the lake front with no roads to cross (just like Italian Getaway's brochure described). The food was served in the hotel Astoria next door and was very enjoyable. The staff in both hotel's were very friendly and helpful and could speak very good English. The shops and markets were only a short distance away. The weather was in the mid 80's most of the time and it only rained twice. Hotel Alla Torre's location is ideally situated with the lakeside and breath taking scenery only a few steps away. The boat ferries are close by and only cost around 14 Euro for a day ticket so making it very easy to visit the other towns around the lake. We went on a few excursions arranged by the holiday rep including Venice, Verona, Renon and Belzone and even the wine tasting trip was educational (what bit I remember!). Would we go back to Lake Garda ? - Yes , were going on honeymoon in July 2009. Anyone wanting a pleasant atmosphere with breath taking scenery should consider going to Lake Garda !

Ideal holiday hotel

Just returned from a last-minute trip, staying for a week in the Alla Torre hotel, Garda. We were very impressed by the standard of accommodation - lovely clean en-suite room, overlooking the lake which is about 50 metres away. The meals (half-board) were taken across the road in the Astoria, and there was as much food as we could eat, served by pleasant, helpful, efficient staff. Would certainly go back again, and recommend to others.

Last Minute Getaway

Chosen at the last minute for a short break. Lovely area, great location, clean hotel with surprisingly good food. However, our Piazza Room was directly over the bar and entertainment area, which was extremely noisy until late evening/early morning, which did take the shine off the holiday. This may have been because it was high season.

Me and my wife stayed at the Ala Torri hotel in Garda on the first week in October 2006 it was the first holiday abroad for 23 years and it was fantastic, the staff and the service we received at the hotel was absolutely great and the hotel was kept clean at all times with all rooms en-suite, there was plenty of food from the buffet bar to suit everyone from a choice of starters to the main meal and sweet, I will certainly go there again and recommend the hotel and Garda as a holiday resort.
