Gypsies Be careful of the gypsies around the Duomo and Bell tower
Rush Hour is bad! If driving and trying to depart Florence early morning be prepared for massive amounts of traffic and major backups on the Autostrada. Allow extra time if you aim to be somewhere at a specific time. The entrance to the A1 right at the Sheraton at 0800 requied 10 minutes just to get through the ticket booths and up the entrance ramp to the highway and once on the highway it was extremely slow going.
Great shopping bring money for the good buys. Don't buy knock-offs. Get VAT's
