A amazing city Florence is the best place we have ever seen in Europe. We will come here again and again.

book musem ticketsin advance Ufizi and academia( David's statue) are a must see and please book tickets in advance else risk standing for hours to get in.

Airport transfers Find the buses at the airport, they are much cheaper (€6 each) than the Taxi (€22.50). There were no signs to the bus stop or anything else to help. Look for a rather scruffy bus stop on the other side of the taxi parking area. Normal sized single decker blue buses come frequently. I don't know where you get tickets as we only saw the bus after we had settled into a taxi. Departing - the buses leave from the Santa Maria Novella station (SMN on the front of the buses). Taxi's say they charge €20, but then charge you slightly more and say it because of the suitcases.
