Be prepared to walk Walk all around the old part of town Check out the garden behind pitti musuem

Tourist trap restuarants... Don't get fooled into eating at little outdoor cafe's right on the main strip. We were tricked into $8.00 soft drinks and horribly rude service. Eat in the hotel restuarant for a nice sit down meal and grab little bites to eat from street vendors during the day.

Buy a ticket first Buy tickets at Tabbachi for the bus...4.50 euros for 4 tickets which means 4 rides . You will get one ticket numbered 1 to 4 on it. When you get the bus there is a small yellow machine on it. Put your ticket in and it will validate it . Do this each time you use it. Same applies to the train tickets, only the machine is on the platform for the validation. Public transport is reliable, frequent and clean and best of all really cheap!
